Shutlingsloe storm – split toned in blue & sepia
A stormy and very windy day on top of Shutlingsloe hill in Cheshire. This is a remarkable vantage point. It is 1,660 feet above sea level and commands one of the best views in east Cheshire though my photo did not really capture the terrain on this day. The wind pressure was so high that it even interfered with the operation of the mirror in my now very old Nikon D80 and I later discovered that a lot of oil from the mirror box had been blown onto the sensor – a problem which still persists to this day.
